Session Waste Bites: Composites, Plastics and Bioplastics
The CREA center organizes with the collaboration of Eurecat the session Waste Bites on February 27 in Barcelona.
Each year about eight million tons of plastic ends up in the ocean, a material that can take centuries, or more, to disappear. Can we continue to use this material without destroying the planet?
The global production of plastics has exploded in the last 50 years. In the last 10 years we have produced more plastic than in all history.
Spain is the fourth country in the European Union with the highest demand for plastics, where up to 50% of them ended up in landfills in 2016. There are different technologies that can be applied for the correct recycling of plastics.
If you want to know more about this topic, come to CREA next February 27 at 11:00 h to session WASTE BITES: Composites, plastics and bioplastics: General characteristics and its recycling index that will offer us Dr. Maria Eugenia Rodríguez, Director of the Composites Unit of Eurecat.
