WEBINAR: Printed Sensors and Biosensors

WEBINAR: Printed Sensors and Biosensors

Eurecat is organizing a webinar dedicated to Printed Sensors and Biosensors on 26 May, as part of the European SmartEEs project.

In recent years, novel sensors were developed for Point-of-Need applications with the aim to provide reliable multi-target and scalable solutions. This technology is intended to work with its ambient interferents through real-time, in-situ, data collection on a specific location from medical to environmental applications.

Such a challenge requires radical approaches that balance scientific research and design principles that will permit a future adoption of the solutions. In this webinar two basic printed sensors to meet this challenge are presented: colorimetric and electrochemical devices.  We will present the process development involved in sensors’ design, detection methods and fabrication methodologies all based in scalable automated printing techniques.

SmartEEs2 is a European project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme with the aim of helping the European Industry reinforce its competitive advantage by providing acceleration support to Innovative Companies for integration of Flexible and Wearable Electronics Technologies.

The SmartEEs2 project, which is positioning as a follow-up initiative to SmartEEs DIH, is formed by 14 technological centres from 9 European countries, including Eurecat.
